Regional Manager – Midlands/North
Bernstein Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bernstein AG – a family owned business established in 1948 based in the north west of Germany.
The companies design, manufacture and supply industrial safety systems based on sensors, switches and enclosures for applications in literally hundreds of industries.
The UK company employs about 20 people and operates with a good deal of autonomy. It buys components from the parent company and others and designs and sub contracts manufacture of enclosures for UK customers. They also assemble harnesses and systems. They grew by over 20% in 2009/10 and are planning similar year on year growth in the coming years. The company is profitable and stable.
The MD has built a modern customer focused, friendly team culture, which increasingly focuses on selling safety solutions to its end users directly or through 1st tier suppliers. After care and excellence in customer service, friendly easy to deal with relationships, flexible, good problem solving, and same day despatch of parts from stock, are high on the agenda.
We operate from modern warehouse premises, based in Aldridge, in the West Midlands

The Current Sales team includes a Sales manager, 3 regional sales people, a technical support team and back office team processing orders, maintaining the CRM system etc
Scope/Person:
Region: Midlands/northern England
Products: Sensors and switches, integrated safety systems
Experience: - Engineering/Sales background; switches, sensors, enclosures, electronics, cable harnesses or similar
Industry experience: see customer industry sectors for examples
Personal: hands on, practical, self-reliant, structured, energetic, results and customer focused, team player
Scope: £5-600k annual sales;
Package: Negotiable, includes bonus; car, pension, PHI
