BERNSTEIN AG expands its magnetic switch portfolio

MAK-50 and MAK-54 complete popular product family

BERNSTEIN AG is expanding its product portfolio with the new MAK-50 and MAK-54 magnetic switches. These new variants complement the proven MAK product family and offer additional housing variants and functions that have been developed at the request of numerous customers.

The product designation MAK stands for ‘magnetic switch with reed technology in plastic enclosure’. The numbering of the models, such as MAK-50 and MAK-54, reflects the respective enclosure shape and size. The MAK-54 adopts the modern and proven enclosure design of the RFID safety sensor from BERNSTEIN, making both switch types compatible in terms of their design. In addition, the MAK-54 is optionally equipped with an LED that indicates the operating status and thus further simplifies operation.

‘These developments are the result of numerous customer enquiries that were looking for new, modern designs for industrial applications,’ says Marcus Scholz, Product Manager at BERNSTEIN. The MAK-50, with its particularly flat construction, and the MAK-54, with its well thought-out design, are specially designed to fulfil the safety requirements in industrial environments. They are ideal for securing doors, bonnets and flaps and fulfil the requirements of DIN EN 14119, DIN EN 60947-5-3 and can be used in applications in accordance with DIN EN 13849-1 and DIN EN 62061.
